New Adventure

Some of you may have been wondering why I have not updated our blog lately. Well once again we have been very busy reconsidering our options in life! A while ago Jay came to me and spoke about moving. Which is not unusual! This time it was in the province. So I asked him if it was even an option...like did he have a job elsewhere or not? Cause I was not about to go back to work yet! He told me about a call he had and was told he would get an offer he could not refuse. Well what can't we refuse? So we made a quick trip up the this place in BC and he was interviewed and offered a job with alot of potential for advancement. So we considered this option a little bit more. Not really talking about it with anyone else. And we thought about the lifestyle we would like and how we could do it all. We also considered how we wanted Hannah to grow up. After weighing the pros and cons of it all and getting more and more excited we decided we would do it! Where oh where are we moving to you ask? Jay's home town of course! Williams Lake. Like all of our other adventures we do not take long for the normal processes in life. After the interview and within one week, Jay accepted the job offer, gave his notice, put our house up for sale, got an offer on the house before the sign was up and we accepted (although all subjects still have to be removed and very nerve racking), drove up to Williams Lake again the next weekend, searched for homes, found a house, made an offer that was accepted, went to Kenzer's 5 th birthday party and are home again! And the people who made an offer on our home changed their minds. Great eh? So we are still waiting for someone to buy our house. That is it in a nutshell.

Hannah amidst all this chaos!

Hannah at dinner after Jay and I searched all afternoon for a house in Williams Lake. Grandma Peggy looked after her and must have worn her out!

Hannah and I are staying home for a few days and resting. As you will see in some of the pictures she has been exhausted through all this. (These pictures are coming. For some reason blogger won't let me download anymore photos). And she still hates car rides so two trips up to WL in a row was enough. Poor little girl! She has been hating her baths as well. Just screaming once we get her in there. So I guess we will be sponge bathing her for the next couple nights. Anyway, we are really excited about the move. I am not really sure what to do about my work as I am on approved maternity leave until May. I will still be working for Interior Health but just in Williams Lake and possibly some shifts in Kamloops. If everthing goes through on these home sales then Hannah and I will be up there for the 25th of November. Jay will be there earlier than that to start his new job.
What are we excited about? Friends and family are in Williams Lake. We will have to travel longer to see some of you but it will be okay. We are going to do more outdoorsy things and enjoy the country up there. It will be a really great opportunity. Because the hospitals in Kamloops and Williams Lake are in the same region I should still be employed by Interior Health and hopefully will be able to get on Casual call in work. Which gives us more flexibility with time off because I don't have to apply for it just Jay does. Also we are hoping that I will not work as much but I will still be working when I am done maternity leave. It just will not be as regularly. WL is smaller and less shopping but it will give us an excuse to come visit in Kamloops every now and then. WL is just a smaller community and very pretty. I can't wait to start exploring. I will tell you more about the house we offered on in Williams Lake once everything is final.

Congratulations on your new job and your new home in your "old" town!
It will be great to have friends already established in WL which will help in the transition.

Hope the move all goes smoothly, you must be so excited. Yet another adventure!! Great news!
