Last Day on the Island

We had a really great visit at Mom and Bruno's. It was so nice not to have any responsibilities of the house and to just enjoy our time together. We were outside everyday and took in the really great weather.

Hannah hanging out in the car when we were on the Big Ferry for home. She did really well on the ferries. We got off the ferry and heard on the radio that there was an accident in the direction we were headed. So we drove on and when we hit the traffic on the number one then the flow slowed down. Just about the time that Hannah decided she did not want to be in the car. I was a good driver and stayed at a crawl in the fast lane and thought, " the sign in the HOV lane says, '2 persons or more', so I decided that Hannah was a person and moved on over. " I swear that I saved 45 minutes of traffic hold up time. Thank goodness. I was going to argue with whoever pulled me over or was willing to pay for the ticket at that rate just to get to where I was going.

We ended up stopping in Abbottsford to see Grandma Peggy. We met her at one of the exits so she could see Hannah. It had been about 3 weeks and Grandma was going into withdrawal. So Hannah had a snack and we visited then carried on. We had to stop a couple more times on the drive and made it home about 730 at night. Hannah was not totally happy when we got home but Daddy sure was glad to see her! We bathed her and tried to put in bed but she was a little out of sorts. She has settled in nicely now!!

It took me 4 days to unpack everything and get settled. Hannah has been in her PJ's until noon most days. It is nice to be back home again. I will be ready for the next trip sometime soon. Not sure if Jay will be though!!!

Here is Hannah on a Bumbo chair that cousin Brandon has lent her till he is big enough to use it himself. It helps them to sit upright when they are not quite able to do it on their own.
