Snow Day!

Today Hannah felt and saw snow for the first time. She really likes to be outside and enjoyed the cool air when we were out running a few errands today. She was also inside in her exercauser and was looking out the window at the flakes coming down. Here are a couple pictures of the view she had at the back of our house.

She is also sitting a little better these days. Here is a picture of her practicing her balancing act while sitting. She has had a few tumbles but is a tough girl and no cries from the falls.

It was really cute the other day. Cousin Brandon was a little upset so I sat him near Hannah and she was reaching out to him. Like she was saying, "it's okay!" It is really amazing to see her with other kids like Brandon and Mackenzie. She is just taken by other kids. It is going to be really great to be near Kenzer in WL and see more of her with Hannah.

Hannah is loving her Jumperoo. I am very glad because it cost a pretty penny. She sits in it while Daddy and Mommy have dinner and we can actually sit and eat meals together now. Yippee!

Floor time is a fun time right now too. She is rolling tummy to back and back to tummy and loving it. She has been very vocal and happy the last few days. I think it is a turning point! She has even liked the car rides. I am not sure if it is because of the static strip I installed on the car for motion sickness or if it is because I have not had the canopy on her car seat while driving so she can see more. Who knows? But I am not complaining. We will see how the long distance drives go when we go visit Jay in WL when he starts work there. I hope it lasts!!

Hannah has been up early the past three mornings which has been alright. She seems to be in more of a routine. The early mornings have not been so bad because she has had a 2 hour nap in the afternoon allowing me to have one as well. If she was not doing that I would be hurting. Hopefully that keeps going as well.

Things sound like they are getting a bit better! It is so hard to fall into a routine right away, no matter how hard you try. And it's always the kid(s) who seem to set the routine. I remember it wasn't a problem with Calli, but Marin never really had much of a routine. I tried and tried, to no avail! Now with Calli at school during the day, Marin and I can set up her afternoons into a bit of a routine. I know it's important, but I don't think at this age it's possible to force it. At least not with my kids.

We had a bit of snow yesterday, but if you didn't stop and look, you would not have known it had snowed! We did see some in WL when we were there, so Marin got to touch it and marvel at it!! Little does she know, she'll have lots of opportunity to see more!
