Our Girls

Jay and I have had some time to settle in to the house and the routine with the girls and I keep telling him how I am so full of love for our girls. They are amazing and are always surprising us.

Here is Hannah in 2007, 2008, and 2009!

Hannah is growing like a weed and people are always saying how she is so tall. Which sometimes means that they expect more from her because they think she is older. She is just 2 still. But she sure knows she is turning 3! We have had a lot of gatherings since we have been in the house and there is always a "party" for something! Including her birthday!!!
She is learning so much every day. And as I am sure all parents think this of their kids but she sure is smart! She is a sponge as Jay calls it! Some things are good that sink in and others not so good! Like when she says I am biting my nails just like mommy. Who knew she was paying attention? Ya I bite my nails and sure hope that Hannah or Paige do not develop this habit! Other things that are good to sink in are her quirky comments about things we are doing around the house....
When Mom or Dad says "Thank you" and Hannah responds, "Your welcome, it was my pleasure!"
"I am exhausted" with exageration after a morning out at "school" and the gym
Driving in the van and she asks for a piece of gum and I say that it is the last one and she asks, "are we all out of food too?" I repsond with - we have food but there are some people who cannot feed themselves or who do not have enough money to buy food etc, etc... She comes back with, " Well we have money. So maybe we can buy them some food!" This one made my heart melt.
Going for a walk and says, "it's too hard. Will you carry me?"

"I'm not tired. See?" with eyes closing....
"please for a little while..."
Checking on her while she is playing in the garage and discover her with the broom and ask her what she is doing? " I was cleaning up this mess and fell asleep." Did I mention that she standing with the broom in hand while telling me this story?
This one is for Jay... "Mom do we have a dog?" I say no. She says, " I really want a dog as a pet!" I say, " I do too!" Hannah, "I will ask Daddy when he gets home"
Paiger has a scrape on her baby finger and Hannah discovered it the other day and I overhear her talking to Paige and holding her hand," Oh sweetie, what happened to your hand. Ah poor Paigers!" What a little cutie!

The pictures of Paige were taken in 2008 and 2009!

For a girl who did alot of sitting and watching in her earlier years she is a busy little thing. Everything her sister is doing she wants to do! She also has mastered the art of climbing! I will often find her sitting on the kitchen table or standing on the chair or standing under our wall mounted TV watching her sister tug at the cords.... not a good thing.

We have realized that Paige now needs to hear the word no! She just began saying that word and no more head shakes. The word "no" is used to tell us what she wants or should I say doesn't want! She is living up to little sisterness and antaganizes Hannah quite often. But is very sweet and generous with the "loves" or hugs in yours terms!

She loves to play with her dolls and put them in the doll strollers. She quite often will put herself in the stroller too... She also likes to dress herself up in hats, jackets and hats at the back door. I think it is a hint that she wants outside.

With the warmer weather we have been outside everyday and they are loving it! The mud is almost all dried up so that makes it easier to be out there. We cannot wait to get our grass/yard developed so that the play can continue. We have our deck blocked off and their yard toys out there and they are playing out there often as well!

Jay just spent last Sunday with us after working 43 days in a row. It was a really special day. We see him often for the mornings but not for the rest of the days so it was great to have him all day on Easter. We had our Easter thing in the morning then spent the rest of the day outside cleaning up all the trades left overs from the fall. We also had a family picnic in the garage that day as well. The girls really enjoyed themselves. Then we had nachos for dinner that night! Fun!

Well as you can tell we are back to blogging. I have some timeto make up for as we were on dial up for a while but now have satellite internet. MUCH FASTER! not as fast as high speed Shaw but way better. During this tax season the girls and I made a trip to Kamloops but have mostly been home. We go to "school" 2-3 mornings a week. It is a program offered that is free MOnday to Friday 9-12. They offer a snack and playtime. It has been really great for us to have that to do. The girls were both in Swimming lessons on Saturday till mid March and Jay and I took both girls then. It was a really great outing for us as a family. I took an 8 week parenting course that was free at the CDC and it was really interesting for me. I have been getting out with my friend Robin once a week to either walk or gab and that has been really nice and a good break. Jay and I have gone out to a few fundraising dinners for various things in town and that has been a good thing for us too. Of course there was my sister, Nadine and Aaron's wedding in February that kept us busy too!

We have just been getting into a routine around here! We took a look at the last 6 years since we've been married and things have been pretty busy to say the least. It is nice to see that we can be settled and enjoy our time! We are really looking forward to that! Hope everyone is well and keep checking in on us from time to time. We will have more updates to come!
