Gautemala Grandma
This past weekend, Grandma Peggy came up for a visit. She just returned from a working vacation in Gautemala with 50 other healthcare professionals. They did 150 operations on people in Gautemala and on their off time explored the country. Ask her about her experience it was truly amazing. I would like to do it one day!
On Grandma's trip she gathered Gautemalan goods for her Nieta (Grandaughter in Spanish). The bag was full of colorful items!
Here is Hannah in the Dress Grandma Peggy brought back for her. I was going to wait till summer but I am not sure how much Hannah will grow in the meantime. Hannah has also taken to wanting to brush her own teeth. She doesn't really know what she is doing but she is taking after her Mama!
Here is a traditional apron that Grandma bought for Hannah so they can work in the kitchen. Grandma was laughing when she bought it because Her and I have this long standing understanding when we first met that I was not too keen on wearing an apron. So I think she thinks she will convert Hannah. Grandma thought that it was pretty gaudy but she bought it anyway. Truth be known, I do find a need for aprons more often now than when we first met!!!
By the look on Hannah's face I am not too sure she really likes the apron either!! Hee hee. I am sure Hannah will LOVE it when she is working in the kitchen with Grandma Peggy. And Mackenzie really liked it too!!!
Here is a blanket that goes on the wall and it's theme is CHILDREN AROUND THE WORLD. The doll is like a Guatemalan Barbie.
Here is Hannah with all the goods she received from her Grandma Peggy. I think I am going to have to rethink the theme of her room when we design it!!! Thanks Grandma for everything!!

Cute goodies!! Love the dress! The apron is perfect for playing the part of a culinary goddess!! I'm sure it will have hours of wear and tear and enough flour, sugar and eggs to make herself a batch of cookies with!!
I can't wait to see that little munchkin again!!
