Who Knew?

Who knew that you could feed a child too much of orange veggies? Apparently you can! I have been wondering why my daughter has a yellow nose! Using my expert assessment skills I would assess her jaundiced-like situation. Is her sclera yellowing? How is the rest of her body? Is she showing signs of malnutrition? Eating well? Sleeping well? Any pain? Nope nothing! So we carried on. As you can see in the previous blog, she is yellowing.... The expert nurse Grandma shared that Hannah's father also had the same thing at the same age. TOO MANY ORANGE VEGGIES!!! But his entire body was yellow! It is called carotinitis. When you eat too much beta carotene it will turn you orange! It is quite a nice color for her! But alas Jay and I must feed her a greater variety of veggies. Here come the greens and reds and yellows. But she doesn't like them too much! Ah the joys of parenthood!
