And So It Begins.....

We started this week on the house. It has been about 17 months leading up to this week and starting! Very exciting! But for the past month we have been at the property setting things up for the summer and some fun while we are building! Thanks to my family they have all helped to make our mark on the property which we will soon call home!

Firepit and wood pile we have collected. We have a long way to go! Lots of trees to cut up!

Paiger's little hut to nap in when the weather is nice.

The boys unloading the wood.

This is Huricane Hannah's play-yard! AKA containment center!

Looks like someone was sitting on the job! No free rides around here! But what you don't see is Mom tipping over! Don't think she will be trying that again!

Paige hanging out in her bumbo!

The trailer is all set up for us. It works so well for us and the girls! We will be getting a phone in there next week as there is no cell service out there....

Day one of the Dig with the Back hoe
Grandpa Bruno with Paige and Hannah on the house site

End of Day one
Day 2

Day 2 with the excavator

There is Brett in the hole navigating the levels.

Brett is 6 feet tall and that corner ended up being about 12 feet deep.

And then there was the good news bad news..... We have water.... but it is in the corner of the house.... I had to go down the hill to call Jay to make a decision about what to do with our house site. It was good to have him there to help with the decision making. So we must move out house site. We have decided to flip our house and put the garage on the other side and move over 20 feet. As it turns out it will likely be a better position for our house and the with the layout of the property! So we will be digging again..... All in a days work. It is what it is. This is my new saying for the building process. We will just roll with the punches. When we have days like this past one, we just have to look at our girls and think of all the fun we will have on the property and in this home and reminds us why we are doing it! It is all worth it!

Goofy girls

Princess Hannah. I think I will have to get her some dress up clothes for her second birthday. Yes, she will be 2 very soon! I can't believe it!

The girls and I plan to be at the propery alot this summer and helping out where we can! It will be an unforgettable experience.
