Busy, busy, busy!!!

Well last week we had our roof sheeted and dormers placed!

Here is the picture of our master bedroom and the view we will have from our window.
Remember the hat that we thought was fantastic for Hannah? Well I could not figure out why her hair was thinning on the top and becoming quite short.... did she get a hold of scissors? was she playing with her hair too much and pulling it out? No. It seems that the straw hat that is not lined and fits loosely on Hannah's head has been fraying the poor girls hair. It was worn all summer long and all of her running around and the vibrations of the hat moving and shearing her hair seems to thinned out her hair. So no more hat! And I decided to play hairdresser the other night and now she has short hair all around. To blend it all in! Now maybe it will grow and she will get some thicker hair!
Paige-a-roni! Who is crawling up a storm and becoming the annoying little sister. She follows Hannah around everywhere. And the sisterly fights have already begun... sigh. Paige wants everything Hannah has and Hannah doesn't want her to have them. More lessons to learn here!
Our dormer walls with the window openings going up!!! This was one of the most exciting phases that I was waiting and waiting and waiting for because I wanted to see what the front of the house was going to look. In case you didn't know we changed the look of the front of the house from the plans so it was a little unknown.
Auntie Diane and Auntie Glenda came to stay with Mom last week and Auntie Diane brought the girls some presents. Matching rain coats with Hannah gum boots and Paige Robeez shoes! How cute are they? I can wait for the rain but not for when they can wear them together.

This is the west side of the house.

Front of the house.
Front of the house sheeted! This morning I went out and came back and there was a Mama deer with it's two fawns at the bottom of the property! It is so great being up there. So peaceful!
We left the house looking like this on Friday morning. And went away for the weekend to Kamloops. Here is our bedroom dormer and Hannah's.
We visited Diane, Mike and Owen for the weekend. We did not end up staying as long as we thought but we had a good visit with them. The temperature was about 40 on Saturday so we scooped the kids into the pool to play!
Owen in the nuder after the pool. Paige and Owen are two weeks apart.
This is the house when we got home on Sunday with all the dormers finished!
Here is the roof going on. They have been our most questionable subtrade to date. They come at odd times and only worked a few hours the first two days of the week. They also leave with their truck occassionally and come back..... one can only guess what they do when they are gone. They come barreling in and out of the driveway in their vehicles. But they are getting the roof on. Not as fast as I would like but it is looking good!

Today was the busiest day to date. The roofers, plumbers, electrical, heating and audio/video guys were all here along with Bruno doing work on the house. We had alot of questions to answer and things to think about and some coordinating being done. Crazy. We have roofers, heating, and plumbing tomorrow along with a couple of framers to come and help Bruno sheet the rest of the exterior of the house so that we can get our doors and windows in that are being delivered tomorrow. We will be missing two windows and our master door as we changed that last week but it should be here soon! Exciting stuff!
Jay is on 3 weeks holidays with us right now and we are nearing the end of week one which has been pretty busy for him. He not used to so much stimulation and action sitting in a desk all day. But with 2 kids to watch over and play with and all this house stuff going on it has been super busy. Hoping that next week won't be as busy for him. I think it is good he is off for 3 weeks cause it will give us and him a chance to get into vacation mode!
