Fun Times Had by All!

Today we spent the day and Nadine, Aaron, Kenzer and Braeden's! It was a really great day! They had the wading pools going and we all were able to use them to cool off! The kids all had a great day and at the end of the day we had a really great meal. Prawns, BBQ chicken, ceasar salad and corn on the cob! Yummy! Peggy stopped in on her way home and Jay only worked a portion of the day and came to play with us too!

Kenzer really wanted us to try out her pool and the slide so I did!!! It was a lot of fun!
Here are the girls in the "warm pool" or "hot tub" as Mackenzie put it!
Even Bruno tried out the slide! Mom and Nadine tried it out too!
Jay had a slide and the first one went well for him....This picture was just before the crash. His boogey board got caught up somehow and he ended up doing face plant at the end of the pool..... it wasn't pretty. He has a cut lip and thought he broke his nose but thank goodness he did not!
Paiger and Mommy heading out for the day!

It is Stampede weekend so Mom, Nadine and I took the kids to the Fair on Friday. It was really a good day to do this as it was not so busy and the heat was just beginning. We all got caught up in the Stampede Fever and bought some cowboy hats!

Hannah on the Dragon ride.
Mackenzie and Hannah on the helicopter Mommy and Hannah in our pink hats!
Nadine in her new hat!
We went up to Mom's on Friday after the Fair and had a good dinner up there. We set up the sprinkler for the girls and enjoyed the warm weather!

Last week Hannah, Paige and I went to visit Peggy in Prince George. Peggy has a little patio that is enclosed which was great to play is. But alas, Hannah was curious as ever and decided to try to make her escape!

We took her to the big Park in PG and it was alot of fun for her! We had a great visit in PG and hope to go back again soon!

Hannah climbing the hill at the property. We are on a bit of a hold on the house. Awaiting Brent to come back and get started on framing.... Bruno has been keeping things going and getting some things prepped and ready to go when the time comes to start.... Looks like it will be a bit till we get in there but well worth it when we do!

When we were up there last week I was walking not paying attention and looked up to see this deer looking at me! It startled me until I realized what kind of animal it was....
We were able to pour our basement floor and get the easyform tube supports poured a week and a half ago so now we are waiting to get our floors on!
Here is our little two year old who has a mind of her own taking a rest in the baby swing! She decided she needed a rest.
Paiger having her first digestive cookie.
We went to Kamloops for a couple days, just Paige and I while Hannah stayed with my mom. We had a great visit and got some shopping in. Nicole's daughter, Jocelyn(left) is 3 weeks older than Paige (middle) and Owen (right), Diane's son is 2 weeks younger. It was neat to see them all playing together... well not together just in the same vecinity....

Hannah and her bubble maker up at the property.
Oh and here is the curious little 2 year old exploring with bum cream. And no Jay does not shave this way. He uses an electric razor. So we don't know where she got that from.
This is the first time we were able to put Paige in the wagon and Hannah joined in too. They loved it!
And one evening when I went down to put Paige to sleep, Hannah climbed up to the counter to get the cereal down. The cereal I had ready to come with house the next day to PG. When I got upstairs she had the entire bag on the living room floor and was rolling around in it and having a really great time! What a crazy little girl!

Hannah is now in her big girl bed! So far so good. We are on night five and 6 naps or so in! Maybe we get her so tired during the days that she is just exhausted when she finally gets there. Paiger is now also finally, mostly sleeping through the night. We have to plug her soother in every now and then and sometimes just let her play her way back to sleep at times like 1 or 3 am... That's when I put the pillow over my head and then wake up to her cooing a gawing in the morning. This self soothing business is working well for me! Paige is doing well with it too! Paige is not crawling yet. She is getting one leg behind her and just has to get the other one back and then look out! We won't be able to stop her!
Hannah is also potty training. But only number two's. She cried the first few times but last night asked to go on the potty to poop. It is so much better for her to do it this way than in the diaper as there was no room for the stuff to go in the diaper! Now we have clean diapers through out the days and we are loving it! We will see how it goes!
Yesterday we were fortunate to spend the day together as a family. Those days have been few and far between the last six months as Jay has been super busy at work. It was a great day for us. We went to the pancake breakfast at the firehall and watched the Stampede parade. The girls were cooking hot and tired so we took them home to lunch and nap then we went up the friend's parents house to enjoy their pool in the afternoon. They live just down the road from where our house will be so it was really great to get to know them a bit! Hannah and Paige loved the kiddie wading pool! Little water bunnies these days. We have taken the bath seat out in the tub for Paige and let her sit up in her tub on her own and now Hannah joins her in the tub and what fun they have! We have been soaked a number of times with their splashing escapades!
We had a my Mom lined up to babysit for the evening to go out to a friends place for a BBQ but were exhausted from all the fun we had all day long and my Mom had some fun at the rodeo so we opted to stay home and relax and give her some time to recoup too. Maybe next time! It was just so special to have Jay with us all day long... FINALLY! Apparently no more OT for the rest of the year! Yippee! Guess we can handle that!
